Kindergarten

Kindergarten is a year packed with accomplishments!  We learn not only how to read and add and subtract, we also learn how to be a good friend, how to be a disciple of Jesus, how to be a respected leader, and how to feel good about ourselves.  We make sure that our good manners are used as we stand and greet each person who comes to visit us in our room as well as taking turns, and being kind to one another.  You will see your child bloom with writing skills as he/she writes in a journal each week and illustrates sentences.  We love our Math and Phonics/Reading/LA books as we are able to have additional practice at home by going online.  While at school, we use the Computer Lab to learn the parts of a computer and use Mavis Beacon to practice our new keyboard and mouse skills.  Art is the perfect time for us to express ourselves as we enjoy creating masterpieces.  Kindergarten students learn the true meaning of community service as we reach out to those in need.
