May Has Come to An End...

The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

        ~ Psalm 121:8

It’s hard to believe that this is May’s edition of The Head’s Herald. The year has flown by… And, what a fantastic one it was! I cannot thank you enough for your support, your excitement, and your kindness. I am eternally grateful for everything!

While the Main Campus prepares to close for the summer, please keep in mind that our Early Childhood Academy remains open. Our dedicated teachers—Ms. Dolores, Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Nancy, Ms. Connie, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Clemencia, Ms. Georgina, and Ms. Ellen—deserve to be applauded for keeping our little ones’ minds growing all summer long!

Congratulations to our Girls’ Tennis team for earning a banner this past season! We will excitedly unveil it sometime next year. And, as always, we look forward to another fun year in Jaguar athletics in the fall!

I have amazing news to share about one of our students—Seventh Grader Alex R.! He was nominated by our school to attend a leadership camp at The McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We recently found out that he was one of 48 chosen to attend! This camp, Character.Leadership.Community “CLC” Camp, will be an amazing learning experience for Alex, and we are extremely proud that he will represent St. Joseph’s this summer!

If you have not already done so, please submit a listing on our new Business Directory at http://stjosephsdirectory.com/. I’m happy to see a plethora of postings in a variety of areas. Keep ‘em comin’! This can be a wonderful resource for our school and church families.

This year’s ERB scores will be available very soon. I will notify you via e-mail to schedule a meeting with me to discuss your child(ren)’s results. I’m always proud of how our students perform on this standardized test!

Next year’s calendar has been posted on our website and sent home via e-mail. Please make note of our days off, early dismissal days, and other important events throughout the year. Our calendar matches the public school with vacations, so family trips can be planned accordingly. J If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church welcomes you to join one (or more) of four wonderful worship services each weekend. There is one at 5:00 on Saturday evenings and three on Sunday—one at 7:45, another at 9:30, and the Unplugged service at 11:45. For more information, please visit the Church’s website at http://www.stjoesweb.org/.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns over the summer, please reach out to the Office and/or to me directly. Keep an eye out for summer editions of The Head’s Herald to keep you updated on the new playground installation, as well as our amazing SmartLab!

Have a fantastic summer!
