, M.Ed, ABD, Head of School
A 32-year teaching veteran who has completed a doctoral degree in Administrative
Leadership, Mrs. Pleasanton's career as an elementary, middle, and high school
mathematics and computer teacher has been enhanced by nearly 16 years of administrative
work as a Head of School, Director of Admission, Dean of Students, and Director of
Community Service. Awarded South Carolina's Teacher of the Year in 1984, Mrs. Pleasanton
returned to her home state of Florida to teach at Saint Andrew's School and then Saint
Joseph's Episcopal School, where she currently is Head of School. Mrs. Pleasanton has one
son, Cory, who is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, at Annapolis and a dog,
Buffet.
, Chaplain and Sacred Studies Teacher
The Rev. William L. Stomski (Father William) holds an art degree from Arizona State
University as well as a Masters Degree in Divinity from Gettysburg Theological Seminary
and a Masters Degree in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. Father William is
completing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Virginia Theological Seminary.
He has served parishes in Pennsylvania and taught high school New Testament and Church
History classes in Houston, Texas. Father William joined the staff of Saint Joseph's Episcopal
School in May of 2005 as the school’s Chaplain, and is responsible for chapel services,
pastoral counseling, and student Community Service Outreach programs.
, Director of Admissions and Enrollment
Mrs. Aperavich has worked at Saint Joseph's School for the past 20 years. As the Director
of Admissions and Enrollment, Mrs. Aperavich handles interviewing, touring, testing, Gesell
observation, and placement evaluation and retention. She serves on the Financial Aid
committee with the Head of School. In previous years, Mrs. Aperavich has worked in all
areas of advancement, annual fund, endowment, capital campaign, donor development,
events, and reporting. Mrs. Aperavich received her B.A. degree from Florida Atlantic
University in Business Administration majoring in Marketing. Mrs. Aperavich has a
daughter, Jessica, who is a commercial airline pilot and a Saint Joseph’s alum.
, Business Manager
Ms. Hilsman, a South Florida native, was born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida. She is a
graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelors degree in Finance and coursework
completed toward her Master’s Degree. Ms. Hilsman has three children, Alyssa, who is in
5th grade at Saint Joseph's, and Elizabeth, who is in 3rd grade, and a son, Giovanni, born in
May, 2010. Ms. Hilsman is an owner and partner in the accounting firm, H & M Accounting
and Tax Services and in 2008, accepted the position of the Business Manager for Saint
Joseph’s where she is responsible for benefits programs, budgeting, and all financial areas
of the school. She enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and going to the beach.
, Business Office
Mrs. Hilsman, a South Florida native, was born and raised in the Miami area. Mrs. Hilsman
raised her two children in Boca Raton while working in Real Estate Sales. Mrs. Hilsman
became a licensed Title Insurance Agent, before joining her daughter, Christina, at her
accounting firm in Delray Beach. Mrs. Hilsman and her daughter, Christina, are now
partners in the accounting firm of H & M Accounting and Tax Services, Inc. in Delray Beach,
FL. In 2008, Mrs. Hilsman accepted a position at Saint Joseph's School in the Business
Office as Assistant Business Manager and where she is responsible for overseeing the
operating needs of the school and managing vendor relationships and contracts.
, Esquire, Development Associate
As a child growing up, Mrs. Collins lived internationally. She attended Florida State
University where she earned Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctorate degrees. During her
tenure at Florida State University, she mentored and tutored NCAA athletes. Professionally,
Mrs. Collins has served in several positions including Assistant Attorney General and as a
civil rights defense trial attorney. Mrs. Collins is married to Peter and has four children,
Camden in 3rd grade, Campbell in 4th grade, Carter in 5th grade, and Carson in 7th grade
at Saint Joseph’s. Mrs. Collins also volunteers her time and talent to assist in a variety
of endeavors, including the Guardian Ad Litem program, as a Board Member for a local
preschool, and has organized a variety of corporate events as well as chaired over fifteen
fundraising events for community organizations.
Mrs. Donahue is a second generation Floridian born in Miami and raised in Delray Beach
where she attended Pope John Paul II High School. She graduated from Loyola University,
in New Orleans with a Bachelors in Communications. She received a full academic
scholarship to St. Thomas University in Miami where she earned a MBA while working
full time for The Miami Herald. Upon completion of her Masters degree, Mrs. Donahue
went to work for Blockbuster Entertainment, Inc. overseeing the Corporate Training
and Development Department at its Ft. Lauderdale headquarters. After the birth of her
daughter, she was a consultant for Extended Stay America, Inc. providing Presentation
Skills Training Seminars. Mrs. Donahue has two daughters, Meaghan and Erin, who attend
Saint Joseph’s. Over the years, she has been an avid volunteer at her daughters’ schools
chairing several auctions and presiding as President of the PTA and a member of the
School Advisory Board. She joined Saint Joseph’s in 2008 and she and her family feel very
fortunate to be a part of this loving school family.
, Publications
Ms. Cunningham is a transplant from Michigan where she earned a Bachelors Degree in
Child Psychology from Michigan State University. As a young idealist, she established a
career as a Treatment Director for adjudicated adolescents at a substance abuse residential
facility. After two decades, Ms. Cunningham decided she needed a change and started her
own event planning business. Currently, she has a company called Mosaic Productions, Inc.
that specializes in video editing, graphic design, and photography. Ms. Cunningham shares
a home in Boynton Beach with her teenage son, Gregory. After 7 years wonderful years at
Saint Joseph's School, he graduated in 2009.
, Administrative Assistant
Ms. Sanchez was born and raised in Delray Beach, Florida, then spent her high school
years in Greensboro, North Carolina. She is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a
Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. Ms. Sanchez has two children, Austin, who graduated
from Saint Joseph's School in 2007, and Madison, who graduated in 2010. Ms. Sanchez has
held several positions at the school and is currently the Administrative Assistant supporting
the Head of School and the school's day-to-day operations. Ms. Sanchez and her children
feel blessed to have been a part of Saint Joseph's School for the past several years.
, Administrative Assistant
After graduating from Atlantic Community High School, Mrs. Schafer attended Palm
Beach Community College and Florida Atlantic University earning a degree in Business
Administration. Mrs. Schafer's late husband, Bud, and she bought Ace Hardware in
Delray Beach which she still owns and operates. Their son, Glennon, was a student at
Saint Joseph's beginning in Pre-Kindergarten. He graduated from 8th grade in 2009. Mrs.
Schafer began her career at Saint Joseph's as an assistant in the PK program, and she is
currently an administrative assistant supporting student data, the Early Childhood Academy
operations, and day-to-day operations. Mrs. Schafer has said that being employed at Saint
Joseph's has been a wonderful experience for her and her family.
, On-Site Director and Lead Teacher, Early Childhood Academy (2 year old program)
Mrs. de la Torre is originally from New Jersey. She relocated to South Florida in 1990, and in 1994 she began to pursue her teaching career in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. de la Torre started in the public school system as an Assistant Teacher
working with Special Needs Children in the ESE Pre-Kindergarten program. She then moved on to the private school
system where she worked as Lead Teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten program, and soon after became Lead Teacher in the
VPK program. Mrs. de la Torre is certified by the Florida Department of Children and Families as a Child Care Professional
and she is also a Certified Child Development Associate in the State of Florida. Most recently, Mrs. de la Torre has earned
her VPK-endorsed Director's Credential and she is now actively pursuing her Associate’s degree at Palm Beach State
College. Mrs. de la Torre is the On-Site Director and Lead Teacher of the two-year old program at the ECA. She is very
happy to be a part of the St. Joe’s community, and she is committed to each student’s' happiness, growth and development,
while providing a supportive and fun learning environment.
, Lead Teacher, Early Childhood Academy (1 year old program)
Mrs. Antle is formally from Kentucky. She and her husband Christopher relocated to South Florida in 2001. Mrs. Antle became part of the St. Joseph’s community in 2003 when she started working at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church,
specializing in infant and toddler care. She moved on to St. Joseph’s Episcopal School in 2005 where she became a
Teacher in the One Year Old program. Mrs. Antle then became Lead Teacher of the One Year Old program at the ECA
when it opened in 2008. She is certified by the Department of Children and Families as a Florida Child Care Professional,
and she plans to continue working on additional Early Childhood Education certifications. Mrs. Antle’s son Christopher, Jr.
is a student at St. Joseph’s School.
, Lead Classroom Teacher, Early Childhood Academy (2 year old program)
Ms. Frey is originally from North Carolina. Her family relocated to South Florida when she was an infant. Ms. Frey is an
alumna of St. Joseph's Episcopal School and her daughter Emily is currently a student at St. Joseph’s School. The St.
Joe’s softball field is named after Ms. Frey’s father, Edward Rosenberger, who started the computer learning program at
St. Joseph's School. Ms. Frey began her career at St. Joseph’s as an Assistant Teacher at the ECA in 2009. She is now a
Lead Classroom Teacher in the Two Year Old program at the ECA. Ms. Frey is certified by the Department of Children and
Families as a Florida Child Care Professional. Ms. Frey is delighted to have the opportunity to give back to the St. Joseph's
community.
, Assistant Teacher, Early Childhood Academy (1 year old program)
Mrs. Wrona is originally from Connecticut. She moved to South Florida with her family in 1977. Mrs. Wrona became a part of the St. Joseph’s community in 2006 when she began working with the children at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church.
She moved on to St. Joseph’s Episcopal School in 2007 and became the Assistant Teacher in the One Year Old program.
Mrs. Wrona was asked to take her expertise with infants and toddlers to the ECA, when it opened in 2008 and become the
Assistant Teacher in the One Year program. She is certified by the Department of Children and Families as a Florida Child
Care Professional. When Mrs. Wrona is not helping the children grow, you can find her nourishing her love of plants, bird
watching, or crafting with her daughter Addie. Her love of God, nature, and watching small things grow, is what gets her up
in the morning.
, Teacher, Early Childhood Academy (2 year old program)
Miss Speyer was born in Connecticut and moved to Florida with her family when she was three years old. She received her
Associate degree from Palm Beach Community College, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from
Barry University. From there, she went on to receive her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization
in Pre-Kindergarten and Primary Education from Florida Atlantic University. Miss Speyer is an Assistant Teacher in the
Two Year Old program. She is certified to teach Elementary Education in the state of Florida and she is certified by the
Department of Children and Families as a Florida Child Care Professional.
, PK Assistant
Mrs. Smith is an assistant in the pre-kindergarten class. Mrs. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Marist College in New York. She earned a Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University in New York. In addition, she is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida. Mrs. Smith has over 16 years of experience working Mrs. Smith is an assistant in the pre-kindergarten class. Mrs. Smith holds a Bachelor of
Arts in Political Science from Marist College in New York. She earned a Master of Social
Work degree from Fordham University in New York. In addition, she is a Licensed Clinical
Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida. Mrs. Smith has over 16 years of experience
working with children and families in many capacities as a social worker and therapist. She
is the mother of two children who attend Saint Joseph's Episcopal School. R.J. is 10 years
old and is in the fifth grade. Gianna is 7 years old and attends second grade. Mrs. Smith
came to love Saint Joseph's as a parent first, for the quality of education and nurturing
environment provided to her children. She was honored to accept a position on staff in
2006 and continues to learn and grow in her profession. She is presently pursuing an Early
Childhood Director's Certificate and a Teaching Certificate in primary education.
, PK Teacher
Mrs. Nevad has been a part of Saint Joseph's School for as long as she can remember. Her
mother, Beverly Reichert, taught Kindergarten for 38 years. On campus, the Reichert Center
houses the PK, JK, and Kindergarten rooms, and Mrs. Nevad's Father was the Headmaster.
Mrs. Nevad is an alum of Saint Joseph's School, a member of the graduating class of
1971, and has been a teacher here since 1988. Mrs. Nevad has been a Child Development
Associate and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Nevad has
been happily married for 34 years. Together with her husband Rick, they have 3 adult
children, who also graduated from Saint Joseph's and 1 terrific Grandson who is currently
a student in the 5th grade. Mrs. Nevad loves children and working with families and
experiencing the joy of seeing young children develop in every way. This is precisely why
she chose to become a teacher. 2011 marks Mrs. Nevad's 23rd year as an early childhood
educator and lifelong-learner. She believes that every child wants to learn and develop new
skills and information in an individual way and she believes in encouraging those interests.
, JK Teacher
Mrs. DeFrances earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts and Humanities from Florida
Atlantic University. Mrs. DeFrances also holds a teaching certificate in Primary Education
and is overjoyed to be a part of the Saint Joseph's family. Mrs. DeFrances has two girls who
attend First and Second Grade, respectively. Mrs. DeFrances looks forward to furthering
her education and helping the children of Saint Joseph’s develop in the upcoming years.
, JK Teacher
Working at Saint Joseph's School is part of Ms. Nevad's heritage. Her grandmother, Beverly
Reichert, started the Kindergarten program 53 years ago. Mrs. Reichert was also Head of
School, and Ms. Nevad's aunt created the Junior Kindergarten program. Ms. Nevad's mother
started the Pre-K and is alum of the school, as are her brother, sister, and she. Ms. Nevad's
son, Tyler, has been a student at Saint Joseph's since PK . He loves his school and all the
great friends he has made. Ms. Nevad began her career in 1999 as the assistant in Junior
Kindergarten. Ms Nevad is currently the JK Teacher with a Bachelor of Arts in Early
Childhood Education. Ms. Nevad looks forward to many more years at Saint Joseph's and
continuing her long relationship with her school "family."
, Kindergarten Teacher
Mrs. Ream graduated from Bethany College in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in
Communications where she met her husband and then moved south to begin their life
together. Mrs. Ream has three children at Saint Joseph's, Lucy, Alex, and Maggie. Mrs.
Ream has been a part of the Saint Joseph's family for 7 years. Her love for Saint Joseph's
encouraged her to follow her love for children. Mrs. Ream received her 40 hour Early
Childhood Certification during the summer of 2008, her Florida Teaching Certification during
the summer of 2010, and is currently one of the Kindergarten teachers at Saint Joseph’s.
, Kindergarten Assistant
Mrs. Kerl was born and raised in Boston, MA. She graduated from Merrimack College, North
Andover, MA with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, in 1988. After a career
in telecommunications in Boston and New York, she decided to get out of the cold and move
to Florida. It is there where she met her husband, Doug. Since then, she has dedicated her
life to raising their 2 children, Katie and Abbey, who attend Saint Joseph’s Episcopal School.
For the past 6 years she has been an active volunteer at both Saint Joseph’s Episcopal
School and Church where she is also a Sunday School teacher. She is both excited and
honored to be a member of the faculty.
, Teacher (1st Grade)
Mrs. Fellowes graduated from Saint Leo University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in
Elementary Education. Mrs. Fellowes is married to Kenny, and moved to his native country
of England where she taught for 2 years. They are the proud parents of Ryan whom is now
a Saint Joseph’s student in Junior Kindergarten. Mrs. Fellowes had the opportunity to teach
every grade level from Pre-School through 6th grade. As a Kindergarten teacher at Saint
Joseph's, it gives her the opportunity to be creative, fun, and a kid at heart.
, Teacher (1st Grade)
Mrs. Neal graduated from the University of South Alabama in Mobile with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Elementary Education. Her first years of teaching were in public school and
then in a Christian school in Jacksonville, Florida. After moving to Miami, Mrs. Neal taught
2nd grade and 4th grade for seventeen years. Mrs. Neal has taught First Grade at Saint
Joseph’s for four years. For the last decade, Mrs. Neal has lived in West Palm Beach and
has taught in various Christian schools.
, Teacher (2nd Grade)
Miss Gerlich was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. After graduating from
Marianopolis College and McGill University, she taught in the public school system in
Montreal for 15 years teaching 3rd and 4th grades. After arriving in Florida, Miss Gerlich
taught French for two years at the Potomac Country Day School at the College of Boca
Raton (Lynn University). Miss Gerlich has taught 2nd grade at Saint Joseph's Episcopal
School for the past 22 years.
, Teacher (3rd Grade)
Mrs. Beck has been part of the Saint Joseph’s family since 1999 when her son, Jacob, began
Kindergarten. After graduating from the Florida Institute of Technology with a Bachelor
of Science in Technical Communication, Mrs. Beck worked for many years in the software
development industry as a technical writer and marketing executive. After working as a
substitute teacher at Saint Joseph’s for two years, Mrs. Beck decided to turn her love of
working with children and Saint Joseph’s Episcopal School into a new career, by earning
her Florida Professional Teacher Certification. Mrs. Beck has two children; her son Jacob
graduated from Saint Joseph’s in 2007 and her daughter Bridget in is in 2nd grade at Saint
Joseph’s. Mrs. Beck enjoys boating, hiking, and learning to fly general aviation aircraft.
, Teacher (4th Grade)
Miss MacPhee has been teaching fourth grade at Saint Joseph's Episcopal School for four
years. Miss MacPhee is originally from the New England area and has been a resident of
Florida since 1990. Miss MacPhee received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary
Education from Plymouth State College, New Hampshire and her Master of Education degree
in Curriculum and Instruction from Notre Dame College, New Hampshire. Miss MacPhee
worked in the Salem New Hampshire Public School System for 10 years teaching grades
1, 2, and 4. While living in Florida, Miss MacPhee worked for Seacrest Christian School in
Delray Beach for 17 years. At Seacrest Christian School, Miss MacPhee served in several
areas of ministry, teaching self-contained grade level classrooms, team teaching with
various grades, teaching music and physical education to all elementary levels, Assistant
Principal, and Interim Principal.
, Teacher (5th Grade)
Mr. Aubrey was born and raised in Boynton Beach, Florida with a passion for teaching.
He would "teach" anyone anything from the time that he was three years old. Therefore,
it wasn't a surprise that he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education
from Florida State University in December 2007. Mr. Aubrey is a movie and television
fanatic with a DVD collection that could rival any store. He is a firm believer in life-long
learning and positive thinking. Mr. Aubrey feels honored to be at Saint Joseph's, teaching
the fantastic 5th Grade and facilitating Early Care and Silent Study Hall.
, Math Teacher (6th — 8th Grade)
Mrs. Reese is originally from Oneonta, New York. She earned her Bachelor of Science in
Math in 1992 from SUNY, Oneonta. Mrs. Reese began working at the local Credit Union as
a teller and over the next 4 years worked her way up to management. In 1998, Mrs. Reese
earned her Master's in Teaching degree. Mrs. Reese worked during summers at Lawrence
Academy in Groton, M.A. teaching math in the International Summer Program. In the fall
of 1998, she moved to Boca Raton to teach at Grandview Prep School. Mrs. Reese has two
children, in JK and First Grade, who attend Saint Joseph’s.
, English Teacher (6th — 8th Grade)
Mr. Fox is a South Florida native. He attended St. Paul Lutheran for elementary school and
completed middle and high school at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Boca Raton. Mr.
Fox graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in English
and minors in Spanish and Fisheries and Aquatic Science. Mr. Fox played lacrosse for the
University of Florida for 3 years, receiving all-conference recognition. In his spare time, Mr.
Fox is also a dive master and enjoys scuba diving, surfing, and traveling.
, Science Teacher (6th — 8th Grade)
Mr. Wideroff was raised in South Florida. He attended Gulf Stream School for elementary
and middle school, and then Saint Andrew's School for high school. He then graduated from
the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in marine science and biology, and a
minor in chemistry. Mr. Wideroff played lacrosse at Miami all four years, and was captain of
the team his senior year. He enjoys surfing, fishing, and cooking in his spare time, and of
course, watching Hurricanes football.
, History Teacher (6th-8th Grade) and Security
Mr. Hill graduated from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida with a major in
Business Administration and a minor in History. Several years later a friend of Mr.
Hill's, who was teaching history at Saint Joseph's Episcopal School, planned to move to
Massachusetts and suggested that he should teach history at Saint Joseph's. Mr. Hill began
teaching history that next September and has been at Saint Joseph's School over twenty-six
years.
, Art Teacher (1st — 8th Grade)
Mrs. Jacobs is a certified teacher in Florida and has a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts/
Graphic Design from Hofstra University in New York. She has been teaching art since 1998.
Before teaching, Mrs. Jacobs was a graphic artist in New York City specializing in Computer
Graphics and also an adjunct instructor of Computer Graphics at Hofstra University. Mrs.
Jacobs enjoys drawing, painting, and photography and uses technology and computers as
tools to motivate her students. She also works as an Outreach Teacher for the Boca Raton
Museum of Art introducing artists to underprivileged students through presentations she
creates using Keynote (PowerPoint) and creating lesson plans to highlight the artists’ work.
, Spanish Teacher
Mrs. Arroyo was born in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of Puerto Rican parents. She
grew up in a home were it was required that you learn your parents native tongue. While
originally not very interested in learning to speak Spanish, relocation to Puerto Rico as
a teenager forced her to polish her Spanish speaking skills. Mrs. Arroyo is a graduate of
the Antillean Adventist University in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico; she has a Bachelor of Arts
in Secondary Education and Religion. She is a graduate of the International Academy of
Arts & Design in Tampa, Florida. Mrs. Arroyo is a past recipient of the Teacher of the Year
Award for the years 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004. Her passion and reason for living are her
daughter, Gigi and her husband, Pastor Vicmael Arroyo. Mrs. Arroyo is known to friends
and peers as the “Scrapbook Queen.” In her spare time, she enjoys crafts of all sorts. Mrs.
Arroyo collects ribbons, pens, journals, and papers.
, Librarian
Mrs. Williams' high school years were completed under the British system of education
at the Ursuline Convent in Barbados. Oxford and Cambridge exams were given in order
to graduate in nine academic subjects. At the University of Toronto she majored in
Modern Language and Literature with a minor in English. After attaining a Master of Arts
degree, Mrs. Williams moved to London where she started her career in Library Science.
Westminster City Libraries was her first employer. There she worked in Public Services
then moved to the University of Hull as a cataloguer. Mrs. Williams relocated to Florida and
spent eight years at Florida Atlantic University in Technical Services. Her graduate work in
Library Media and Information Studies is from the University of South Florida, Tampa. Mrs.
Williams has been employed at Saint Joseph's since the fall of 1988. Mrs. Williams said it
has been a wonderful experience to plan and organize Saint Joseph's existing Library which
opened in January of 1997.
, Athletic Coordinator and Drama Instructor
Coach Becky Cleveland has been the Athletic Director at Saint Joseph's for 29 years. She
was originally hired as the boys and girls head coach and started the first boys' soccer
program. Currently, Coach Cleveland coaches all the girls' sports. Six years ago, she was
asked to head up the Drama department and directs the spring theatrical productions. This
was a nice addition since her College degree is in Drama and she acted professionally for 8
years. Coach Cleveland has said that her love of sports and theater make her job a daily
joy. She is married and has two children. The most recent award Coach Cleveland and her
family received was the 2007 USTA National Tennis Family of the year.
, Physical Education Coach
As a native of Palm Beach County, Coach Keiper is a graduate of Lake Worth High School
and the University of Florida. In 1991, he began his teaching career in Hillsborough County
at Greco Jr. High School where he was named Hillsborough County Beginning Teacher of
the Year. In 1993, Coach Keiper moved home and for the next 14 years was the Choral
Director, Fine Arts Chairman, and J.V. Baseball Coach at Santaluces Community High School
where he was twice voted Teacher of the Year by his peers. In 2000, he was selected as a
finalist for Teacher of the Year for the School District of Palm Beach County and in 2003 he
was named the Sam's Club Palm Beach County Teacher of the Year. Coach Keiper left the
classroom to work in K-12 Arts Education Curriculum for Palm Beach County Schools before
coming to Saint Joseph's. Coach Keiper also serves as Artistic Director and Conductor of
the Delray Beach Chorale and, both he and his wife Traci, sing with the Palm Beach Opera
Company. He is most proud of the fact that he has more than two dozen former students
now working as teachers in all levels of education.
, Instructional Assistant
The formative years of Mrs. Arts' life were spent growing up in the snow belt of lovely
Oswego, New York. She attended West Virginia University and graduated with a Bachelor
of Science degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation, Mrs. Arts was employed
by State Farm Insurance and spent the next 10 years selling and servicing personal lines
insurance. She came to Saint Joseph's School as a parent over 10 years ago. Mrs. Arts was
hired as an instructional aide in 2001. Both of her children attended Saint Joseph's School.

Mr. Alam was born and raised in Delray Beach, Florida. He is attending Florida Atlantic
University pursuing a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Mr. Alam graduated from
Saint Joseph’s in 2005. Currently, Mr. Alam is a classroom substitute when available, an
Early Childhood assistant, and the school’s Aftercare Assistant Director. Mr. Alam enjoys
playing sports, specifically football, and enjoys coaching children’s sports.
